Gigi Hadid is addressing her inclusion in the Epstein files. In a trove of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein released earlier this year, Gigi and her sister Bella were included in an email exchange from 2015. In a since-deleted Instagram comment, Gigi broke her silence for the first time, clearing the air and addressing her inclusion in the files.
The Hadid sisters were mentioned in a 2015 email between Epstein and a redacted person. “How did the Hadid sisters become models and make so much money?! I don’t understand,” reads the redacted person’s email.
“Because they follow directions, it’s that simple,” replied Epstein.
The exchange prompted much discussion among readers who stumbled upon the information without context. In the comments section of a post shared on March 29th, a follower of Gigi wrote that they had to unfollow her due to her silence after the release of her name in the files.
“Horrible to read someone you’ve never met speak about you that way. Especially in this context,” wrote Hadid in a March 30th message, as reported by InStyle. “I didn’t comment bc I don’t want to take away from the stories of real victims of his; but your comment made me realize maybe it’s not clear—and it’s important to let you know.”
Gigi shared that she “grew up privileged” but that there was no link between her family and Epstein. She said that her parents, Mohammed and Yolanda Hadid, “protected me and taught me the value of hard work.”
“To be named in those files, I think I was 20-21 at the time he would have written that email—is disturbing,” she continued. “And I want to state unequivocally that I have never had any affiliation with that disgusting human being.”
“May he rest in,” she concluded, adding various fire emojis.
The Epstein files and their connection to the world’s elite
Jeffrey Epstein was a notorious figure, having relationships and friendships with some of the world’s leading figures in entertainment, politics, academia, modeling, and more.
Since the release of the Epstein Files, various figures have had to issue statements explaining their connection to Epstein, including Bill Gates. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested and later released on his birthday, with his connection to Epstein currently being investigated by UK police.
