Gisele Bündchen opened up about the wellness routines that keep her strong, flexible, and glowing at 45. The supermodel, mother of three and recently certified Pilates instructor blends holistic practices with disciplined training, proving that longevity in fitness is a lifestyle, not a trend.
During an interview with Vogue UK she talked about her fitness routine and how it has evolved over the years. “I practise Jiu Jitsu, Pilates, yoga, and weight training now that I’m 45,” Gisele shares. “I actually lift weights, which I never thought I was going to do, but it’s essential now.”
“The body is a gift and it’s my goal to get stronger every day so that when I’m 90, I’m surfing with a cane,” she said to the publication. Her regimen is about building functional strength and resilience, not chasing vanity. From martial arts to weight training, she focuses on exercises that keep her body capable and agile.
Gisele’s recent Pilates certification and her take on holistic wellness:
Most recently, she received her Pilates teaching certification, inspired both by her own recovery and her son. “He does a lot of sport and I can’t get him to go to a Pilates class to save my life. He won’t go. Because I knew how much it had helped me, I just wanted to be able to do 10 minutes with me to help address some of the issues he’s having.”
Beyond structured exercise, Gisele credits her vitality to time outdoors. She grounds her feet on sand or grass each morning, a ritual she describes as healing and centering, essential for regulating the nervous system and reducing stress.
“Nature is my temple,” she shares, noting how healing she finds being outdoors. “The world we live in today is so fast-paced and everything is trying to pull us outside of ourselves. It’s distracting and the information overload comes so fast. For me, nature is the medicine.”
Her wellness philosophy spans Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic practices, herbal teas, and daily outdoor time. These routines, combined with disciplined fitness, create a mind-body balance that keeps her energized, resilient, and radiant.
For Gisele Bündchen, staying fit isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about long-term strength, mindful movement, and connecting with nature. Whether it’s lifting weights, mastering Pilates, or stepping barefoot on the sand, her approach proves that sustainable wellness is both practical and inspiring.
