If you’ve ever seen a glamorous slow-motion video of a celebrity on the red carpet, the man behind the camera was most likely Cole Walliser.
The videographer has made a name for himself and has become synonymous with being the “Glambot guy.”
Whether it’s the recent SAG Actor Awards, or the upcoming Academy Awards, you have Cole to thank for seeing your favorites luxuriously documented, while strutting their stuff and enjoying their special nights out.
Cole recently partnered with K18 Hair for a hair flip challenge event, in an effort to set a Guiness World Record for most hair flip videos.
The collaboration invited New Yorkers in-person and fans online, to share their hair flip videos on February 19, and for each clip, $20 was donated to the organization HairToStay.
The videographer spoke exclusively with HELLO! at the event about his most “memorable,” and hilarious Glambot moments, as well as who he still has on his radar for a future collaboration.
Cole’s favorite Glambots
Cole revealed: “My most memorable glam bot, I think it’s probably Brad Pitt because for him, I grew up watching his movies, so that was just like a different moment. [It was] really cool shooting Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, but I didn’t grow up listening to their music. For Brad Pitt, I watched his movies, so that was a really cool moment.”
When it comes to which celebrity is the “most reliable,” in terms of consistently providing looks, without hesitation he shared: “Halle Bailey. Every time [she] kills it for sure.”
Cole’s dream collaboration
As for who Cole would still love to collaborate with, he expressed: “I’ve shot a lot, but I think top of the list for me, Beyoncé. She’s gotta come.”
HELLO! inquired about whether or not Cole would act as a director for her or would take a seat back and watch, and he shared: “I gotta feel it out in the moment. I can’t, you can’t premeditate that. I gotta because it’s very much like I gotta feel what they’re feeling and doing and what the vibe is.”
He added: “Sometimes the vibe is super cool and chill, so I can push for more, but sometimes they’re in a rush or whatever, so I’ll let it just happen, so I gotta feel it out. But that would be an epic one for sure.”
Celebrity bloopers
Despite all the celebrities effortlessly rocking their Glambot, sometimes a silly mishap can occur.
Cole recalled: “People have slipped a little bit. Oh…like scaring them with the camera… [During] Ariana Grande’s first one in 2020, I scared her, but she didn’t react until after the shot was over, so the camera [was] flying towards her. She kept it together. Then after she was like, ‘Oh my God,’ so that was a funny little one for sure.”
Cole’s hair routine
Cole’s beautiful luscious waves have also left a significant impact on celebrities and he revealed what his hair routine looks like.
He shared: “I mean it depends [on] who the audience is. Sometimes I give guys hair advice where I’m like, ‘don’t wash it every day, use some product,’ but for someone who’s dialed in… I just try to be consistent, but also, I like trying different products because I like seeing what works and what doesn’t with my hair because even what works for me might not work for you.”
He concluded: “But definitely K18 has been great, obviously because everybody needs a little repair on the ends and just keeping it nice and healthy, so that’s one I can recommend to everybody pretty much.”
