Get ready, Madrid, because the heartbeat of Latin music is about to electrify the capital like never before. Gloria Estefan, the global music icon and cultural powerhouse, is officially set to headline the 2025 Hispanic Day Concert in Plaza de Colón on October 5, transforming the city into the ultimate stage for one of the year’s most anticipated performances.

For the first time ever, the main concert for Spain’s Día de la Hispanidad will be held at Plaza de Colón. This central and symbolic location echoes the event’s mission, honoring the roots, rhythms, and richness of Hispanic culture worldwide.

Organized by the Community of Madrid, this bold move signals a growing commitment to inclusive celebration, placing music in the people’s hearts right where it belongs.

50 Years of Gloria

Gloria Estefan’s appearance in Madrid marks an emotional and full-circle moment. Not only is she bringing her timeless hits like “Conga,” “Mi Tierra,” and “Hoy” to the stage, but she’s also debuting new tracks from her critically acclaimed 2025 album “Raíces,”  a project that’s as personal as it is powerful.

“It’s an honor to share this moment in a city that has always embraced Latin culture so warmly,” Estefan said. “Madrid holds a very special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to celebrate our roots together.”

The show will also celebrate her 50-year career, a legacy that has inspired generations, shattered barriers, and amplified the global voice of Latin music.

‘Raíces’: A Sonic Love Letter to Culture

Released in May, Estefan’s latest album “Raíces” is a vibrant blend of traditional Latin rhythms and sleek, contemporary production. Created in Miami’s famed Crescent Moon Studios and helmed by her husband and legendary producer Emilio Estefan, the album is already earning praise for its emotional depth and cultural resonance.

The title track, “Raíces”, has become an anthem in its own right, a song about family, identity, and the roots that keep us grounded no matter how far we go.

A Night That Belongs to Everyone

What makes this event truly historic is its spirit. The 2025 Hispanic Day theme, “Every Accent Belongs in Madrid,” is more than a slogan, it’s a call to celebrate diversity, language, and shared cultural pride. Estefan’s music has always transcended borders and genres and is the perfect soundtrack for that message.

Expect a massive crowd, goosebump-inducing performances, and maybe even a few surprise guests. While the full program and entry protocols are still under wraps, anticipation is already sky-high.
