Hailey Bieber has officially ushered in the start of fall as she unveiled her darkest hair color yet to see her through the moodier season.
Over the weekend, Hailey’s hairstylist, Irinel de León, shared a photo of the star’s new tresses on Instagram. The photograph captured Hailey gazing directly into the camera with her freshly dyed hair cut just past her shoulders. The color blended hues of rich brown with soft espresso for the ultimate fall look.
While Irinel was the master behind the cut and style, hair extensionist Priscilla Valles added length and volume, and Matt Rez formulated the color. To complete the glam look, Hailey’s makeup artist complemented the star’s fresh locks with a bronzy glam look diffused with soft pink, courtesy of the Rhode Pocket Blush in shade Piggy.
Suzie McGill, Artistic Director, Rainbow Room International, spoke to HELLO! about Hailey’s hair transformation. “Hailey Bieber has just unveiled her gorgeous new rich espresso brunette color and I am absolutely here for it,” she said. “As a colourist, I love nothing more than a colour transformation and her darker hues are a welcome change from her lighter locks. The new espresso colour is going to be a huge trend as we transition into the A/W season, with clients already requesting this darker, more luxurious look. The colour itself is a lot darker than she has ever been before and really accentuates her facial features and her eyes. With Hailey’s olive skin, it really pairs incredibly well with her complexion.”
She continued: “Going darker always looks luxurious when the hair is in the best condition. Putting a focus on hair health and ensuring it receives key nourishment allows the hair to rejuvenate and hydrate, leaving it with a gorgeous long lasting, luxury shine.”

Hailey is no stranger to kickstarting the latest hair color trend. Last year, she debuted the “toasted almond” look that went viral on social media. Courtesy of Hailey’s hair colorist Matt Rez, the coveted hair shade contained a mixture of mid-toned blonde hues and rich cinnamon tones. The beauty mogul embraced a slew of ‘midlights’, which resulted in a toasted-blonde hue.

© InstagramThe colourist shared how he perfected the glowing hue: “I highlighted and ‘midlighted’ with my technique of blending two colours in for a seamless connection from roots down through lengths. The two colors in a special placement create the most natural, sun-kissed results.”
He continued: “Ask for a multi-tonal ‘bronde’ color. It requires a couple of different colour formulas being used in the process to create a proper ‘bronde’ result. Without the warmer connecting midlights in the mix, brondes and most colours look flat and bounce less light. To get that glowing hair colour, ask for midlights to also be weaved in.”
