Hailie Jade, the 29-year-old daughter of rap legend Eminem, is officially a mom! On Friday, she introduced the world to her newborn son with an adorable Instagram post of the little one fresh out of the womb in a cozy light blue knit sweater. Still in the hospital, they had an adorable nameplate revealing his name, Elliot Marshall McClintock.
In a sweet nod to her father, her son’s middle name is “Marshall,” which is, of course, the rapper’s real first name. Baby Elliot was born on March 14, 2024, but it seems like he came a little earlier than expected. Hailie Jade wrote in the caption, “happy due date//3 weeks earthside little e.”
In the comments were some excited Slim Shady fans who couldn’t help but leave some funny remarks. “Lil shady please stand up,” one person wrote. “Grandpa gonna buy you a mockingbird,” added another, a nod to his song “Mockingbird.”
She also had the support of her family. Her sister, Alaina Marie Mathers, whom Eminem adopted in the early 2000s and walked down the aisle, wrote, “Obsessed with this tiny human and could not be more in awe of YOU mama!!! Motherhood is such a beautiful thing and you make it look easy. I am SO proud of you and grateful you have Evan.”
Eminem’s half-brother Nathan Samra-Mathers, Baby E’s uncle, wrote, “You guys are going to be amazing parents! And Elliot will have the best uncle and grandpa!”
Grandpa Eminem
Hailie and Evan, who have been married since May 2024, revealed their pregnancy during Eminem’s music video for “Temporary” (featuring Skylar Grey) back in October.
In the video, Hailie gifted her dad a Detroit Lions jersey with “Grandpa” on the back and an ultrasound picture of her baby, a moment that left the rapper visibly emotional and fans teary-eyed.
The music video for “Temporary” showed photos and never-before-seen footage from her wedding and showed a sweet, soft side of the “Slim Shady” rapper who was emotional during her announcement and her wedding.
