Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart delighted fans with a rare joint red carpet appearance as the longtime couple stepped out together at the SAG Actors Awards, proving that their famously low-key romance remains one of Hollywood’s most enduring love stories.
The Indiana Jones star, 83, and Ally McBeal actress Calista, 61, turned heads as they arrived hand in hand at the prestigious ceremony in Los Angeles, marking an increasingly uncommon public outing for the private pair, who have largely stayed away from the spotlight in recent years.
Calista looked effortlessly elegant in a striking black one-shoulder gown that combined classic Hollywood glamour with modern sophistication. The draped silhouette featured soft ruching through the waist and a flowing shoulder detail, creating graceful movement as she posed for photographers along the red carpet. The minimalist design allowed her natural beauty to shine, with the actress opting for understated styling that perfectly complemented the timeless look.
She wore her blonde bob in relaxed waves and chose delicate statement earrings that framed her face beautifully, while her fresh, glowing makeup enhanced her radiant complexion. Smiling warmly for cameras, Calista appeared relaxed and confident as she reunited with the red carpet spotlight.
Harrison, meanwhile, cut a typically distinguished figure in a traditional black tuxedo paired with a crisp white dress shirt and bow tie. The Star Wars legend looked every inch the Hollywood icon, greeting photographers with his signature understated charm as he stood proudly beside his wife.
In one particularly tender moment captured during the evening, Calista was seen affectionately cupping Harrison’s face as the couple held hands, sharing a playful exchange that offered a rare glimpse into their enduring bond. Another photograph showed the pair standing close together, smiling broadly as they soaked up the celebratory atmosphere of the night. When asked what he finds joy in, Harrison told HELLO! “I find joy in this experience.”
The couple, who share a 22-year age gap, first met at the Golden Globe Awards in 2002 and married in 2010 after several years together. Despite their global fame, Harrison and Calista have long prioritised privacy, choosing to focus on family life away from Hollywood’s constant attention.
Recalling their first meeting at the 2002 Golden Globes, Calista told The Times that she wasn’t particularly impressed when the Han Solo actor approached her. “I had never seen Star Wars, which I know sounds really crazy,” she said in 2024. “But I grew up in a small town without a movie theatre.”
“I was aware of who Harrison Ford was!” she added. “But I didn’t think, ‘Oh, this is Indiana Jones.’ It was more along the lines of, ‘This is some lascivious old man, and what is he doing at our table?'” she laughed. “I was being a smartass.”
After agreeing to meet Harrison for a date in 2002, Calista asked her Ally McBeal co-star and good friend, James Marsden, to join them. Appearing on The Late Late Show in 2019, James, 52, clarified: “She asked me after we wrapped if I could come along with her to this date because it was a new guy and we felt safe with each other. We went to dinner, and then she said they were gonna go back to his house and have cocktails
“She said, ‘Yeah, come with me,’ and I was like ‘Really?’ I don’t want to get my ass kicked by Han Solo.” Reflecting on his evening out with the pair, James quipped: “I was the harbinger of a wonderful long relationship, and I’m taking credit for that”.
