It’s been nearly a decade since Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson ended their relationship, but the pair remain amicable exes and co-parents.
In October 2014, the then-couple welcomed their daughter Briar Rose Christensen, and now at 11, she’s making her red carpet debut with her famous dad.
On September 19, at the star-studded opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, Hayden, 45, was joined by his pre-teen daughter.
The Star Wars actor wore a Lucasfilm t-shirt with a blazer and a pair of jeans, while his daughter, sporting his facial features with her mom’s long brunette locks, wore a white lace dress and posed hand-in-hand with her dad.

In 2007, Hayden and Rachel, also 45, began dating, after working together on the 2008 films Jumper and New York, I Love You. The pair were spotted together several times for the next year, especially while promoting their films, but didn’t confirm they were dating until making an appearance at the 2008 Met Gala together.
It was reported that year that the pair had gotten engaged. Neither party ever confirmed the news, until 2010, when a rep noted that while there was an engagement, the two had called it quits.
© Getty ImagesHayden and Rachel reconciled a few months later, however, and in October 2014, they welcomed their daughter Briar. In 2017, they finally split up for good, but remain close for the sake of their daughter.

While the former couple often aim to keep their daughter out of the spotlight, they have shared some details about her life in interviews and on social media. During a 2021 appearance on the Betches Moms podcast, the The O.C. star shared that their daughter also wanted to act.
© Getty Images“And I’m like, ‘How do we handle this?'” she continued. “I think to keep that away from her as long as possible is our top choice… It’s not what I would want for her at this age.”
“I think she knows that her mom — and her dad’s an actor too — so she kind of knows that we are in that world. But she’s not aware of that level,” Rachel added. “I think she knows [Hayden] was in Star Wars, but she has no idea what that even means because she hasn’t seen anything. She has an idea, but not really. I’d like to keep it that way.”
