As she faces one of the best and most notorious moments of her career, Belinda opened up about traveling to Puerto Rico, meeting Bad Bunny for the first time, and the videos that went viral on social media when the two danced together at his show.
Belinda was in Puerto Rico in late August, surprising fans and concertgoers with her appearance. In a moment that was recorded and shared online, Bad Bunny sang his song “Perro Negro,” which references her by name, approaching her and singing to her as the crowd roared in excitement.

Their first meeting
Belinda opened up about meeting the Puerto Rican star in an appearance on “El Gordo y La Flaca.”
“Bad Bunny invited us to the concert, to the casita,” she said in Spanish. “I hadn’t met him in person. He talks about me in two of his songs. He approached us, we danced, and had a great time! It was a fun night because we shared our love for music,” she said.
Belinda also shared her admiration for Bad Bunny and his growth as a musician and performer over the years. “We’re artists that have evolved, each one in their genre and style, and I loved it,” she said when describing her concert experience.
“I loved the concert. I love that he approached me and that we had that fun time because Puerto Rico is for dancing. If you don’t go to Puerto Rico to dance and have a good time, it’s as if you weren’t there. Music can move mountains; it can do everything,” she concluded.
Bad Bunny’s admiration for Belinda
Belinda is a Mexican icon, especially for Millennial Latinos. Her work as an actress and singer has catapulted her to one of the biggest Latin stars of her generation.
