Having Tom Brady as your uncle must have its perks, especially if you play sports yourself. That’s the case with Maya Brady, a promising college softball player who’s about to start her professional career.
Maya has had a successful sports career thus far and was selected by the Talons as fifth in their first draft. Before making her professional debut, Maya opened up about her relationship with Brady and the fact that the two don’t tend to have conversations about sports.
“Yeah, I think I always say like we never had a constructive conversation,” Maya said, according to Marca. “But it’s always just for me, I think I get the most from him, just watching how he operates as a leader and as a competitor.”
Maya revealed that the way Brady carries himself has been a great learning experience for her. “I think there’s no doubting that he is the best ever to do it. So I think getting to be in such close quarters with somebody who is considered one of the GOATs is unreal,” she said. “So, just learning from Tommy and learning from Kevin, I think you can learn so much from just observing.”
© Getty ImagesMaya comes from a family of athletes. While Brady takes up a big part of the spotlight, many members of the Brady family have accomplished great feats in their sporting careers, with three of Brady’s siblings being athletes themselves, playing soccer and softball.
Brady’s mother, Maureen, was also an athlete, playing as a pitcher for Fresno State.
Tom Brady’s love life
Ever since Brady divorced his long-term partner, Gisele Bundchen, the world has been keeping tabs on his romantic life. Earlier this month, the media linked him with Sofia Vergara, wit the two photographed together on a cruise excursion through various destinations in Europe.
“He asked to switch seats to sit next to her at dinner,” said a source to Page Six.
© Getty ImagesA few days later, The Daily Mail sparked some controversy, with a source claiming that Vergara was too “old” for Brady. “He sees Sofia as beautiful and his type, but he isn’t going to start a relationship with her as she is older and stuck in her ways. He knows he could only take her in small doses,” said the alleged source.
Brady’s rep shut down the statement quickly. “Tom never said, nor would he ever say, anything like this. It is pure fiction,” said the rep to PEOPLE.
