Joseph Baena may be done with his bodybuilding competitions, but he isn’t slacking on his macros. After winning the INBA Iron Gladiator Classic Physique Champion this weekend, he took to Instagram on Monday wearing his championship medals and holding his giant sword with his tan still lingering. “I just won my bodybuilding competition, time to make some protein pancakes,” he said at the start of the clip. He revealed in the caption that his goals have changed: “The cut has officially ended today,” adding, “commence the bulk.” The end of the video was epic, using his sword to eat his meal. Check out the video on how to make it below.

For the pancake mix:
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 scoop protein powder (flavor of your choice, but he used vanilla

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For topping + sides:

5. Assemble
Stack your pancakes, add a generous spoon of Greek yogurt, and top with blackberries and raspberries.
Joseph’s big win
Joseph has been following in his famous dad Arnold Schwarzenegger’s footsteps when it comes to bodybuilding. His first competition was at the NPC Natural Colorado State competition, where he won first place in multiple divisions, including the Men’s Open Body Heavyweight Class, Men’s Classic Physique True Novice, and Men’s Classic Physique Novice.
“I started lifting weights and fell in love with bodybuilding, seeing the improvement, the muscle gain, the strength gain, and I fell in love with the sport, even watching,” he said in an interview shared on the INBA Iron Gladiator’s Instagram. “This year was the year that I said, ‘Enough being afraid. Enough overthinking. It’s time to commit.’”
While he had his dad helping him out at the gym, it’s no secret that what you eat is half the battle – and for that, he credited his mom, Midred Baena.
On TikTok, Joseph made a “Chicken rice and everything nice” bowl, explaining how it was one of the meals he was making repetitively to reach his goals.
The video garnered millions of views, and when a curious fan asked, “Who taught you how to cook, young man?” Joseph responded, “My mom,” and added a heart emoji.
