Since its founding in 1996, Jimmy Choo has been synonymous with the craftsmanship and timeless quality of footwear. The brand embodies high fashion while prioritising comfort and wearability. That’s why I was so excited when, mid-scroll through the light blue app, I was stopped in my tracks by a pair in pristine condition.
Listed by stylist and designer reseller Eve Kelly, known on social media as @steezyy_steve_, they were a pair of black leather stiletto boots plucked from the archives of the late 90s. They sit just below the knee with a streamlined, fitted silhouette, featuring a zip-up design adorned with the brand’s logo, a flirty kitten heel, and a sultry pointed toe.
What truly caught my attention, though, was the silver hardware circular accent that decorates the back of the boot – a small detail that instantly elevates the whole look In a size 39 – but with vintage sizing often running small, making them closer to a UK 5.5 – I snapped them up for a reasonable £307.00, given their excellent condition, aside from a few charming pre-loved quirks.
This rare find instantly took my mind back to an iconic 2001 photograph of Jennifer Aniston for ELLE Magazine, one buried deep in the archives, yet forever a touchstone in the sartorial playbook of minimalism aficionados that peppers their seasonal agendas. The image captures a youthful Jennifer Aniston leaning against a bare white wall, her blonde-highlighted locks styled into a voluminous blowout, lips slightly pouted.
Yet all eyes are on her refreshingly simple ensemble – one that has remarkably aged with grace. She wore a black cashmere cardigan by Vera Wang paired with a coordinating leather mini skirt, and, of course, the very same Jimmy Choo stiletto boots, her legs bent elegantly with her weight resting on the heels.

To complete the chic look, I slicked my hair back into a straightened ponytail for an unfussy aesthetic and added a pair of vintage Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses with oversized lenses for a touch of drama.
My advice for buying vintage boots
When you buy leather shoes, especially vintage, the soles can be delicate, and the heels, particularly stilettos, require extra care. A trip to the cobbler is never wasted, whether it’s to add protective soles or to repair a broken heel when the tip gives way, leaving that dreaded clicky exposed metal nub.
