Bruce Willis is receiving love and support through hard times. This past Father’s Day, Willis’ daughters and wife shared moving tributes reflecting on the actor, his role as a father, and his dementia diagnosis, a disease that has uprooted their lives. Rumer, Bruce’s eldest daughter, shared a moving tribute on her social media, accompanied by some rare and beautiful images.
Rumer shared the post on Instagram, showing Bruce through the many stages of his life, including alongside a newborn Rumer and, more recently, with Rumer’s 2-year-old daughter Louetta, Bruce’s first grandchild.
“Today is hard, I feel a deep ache in my chest to talk to you and tell you everything I’m doing and what’s going on in my life,” began Rumer.

But I know you wouldn’t want me to be sad today so I’ll try to just be grateful reminding myself how lucky I am that you’re my dad and that you’re still with me and I can still hold you and hug you and kiss your cheek and rub your head I can tell you stories.”
Rumer shared some of her favorite moments of still being with her father, including his care for Louetta. “I can watch the way your eyes light up when you see Louetta,” she wrote. “I will be grateful for every moment I have with you. I love you so much dad happy Father’s Day. Sending love to all those who are in the boat with me or have lost their fathers.”

In an Instagram post, Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis, wrote a post dedicated to “the dads living with disability or disease, showing up in the ways they can.” While Heming made it clear that dates like Father’s Day make her feel sad and stir up a lot of emotions, she’ll continue to move forward and celebrate “badass dads.”
“Love you so much,” wrote Tallullah Willis, one of Bruce and Demi Moore’s daughters, in the comments section. “Love him. Love our family.”
