Inés García and Lamine Yamal put relationship front and center during model’s birthday

Inés García had plenty to celebrate when she turned 21, and Lamine Yamal made sure the milestone came with a seriously personal surprise.

The Spanish influencer celebrated her 21st birthday on July 9, 2026, sharing glimpses of the occasion with her millions of social media followers. Among the photos and Instagram Stories was a romantic gift from the FC Barcelona star, who took time away from Spain’s World Cup campaign to make his girlfriend’s birthday memorable.

García’s birthday arrived just four days before Yamal’s own. The soccer star turned 19 on July 13, making July an especially celebratory month for the couple. But instead of simply going for an extravagant present, Yamal apparently chose something that documented their relationship.

García began sharing updates from her birthday on Instagram on July 9. According to MARCA, she told followers that she had already started celebrating her day before revealing what she described as the best gift she had ever received. 

García showed off what appeared to be a personalized photo book or album filled with memories from their relationship. The pink-toned book featured an illustration of the couple along with photographs and personal messages. One of the messages from Yamal translated to, “You have made me feel a happiness I didn’t know existed.” 

It was a particularly personal birthday surprise for García, whose relationship with one of soccer’s biggest young stars has become increasingly public in recent months.

The personalized book wasn’t Yamal’s only public birthday gesture. The soccer star also marked García’s 21st birthday on Instagram. Yamal posted a photo of the couple together and wished his girlfriend a happy 21st birthday while telling her he loved her. 

García and Yamal stepped into the spotlight as a couple earlier in 2026. By the summer, García had become a familiar presence alongside the athlete during Spain’s World Cup run in the United States.

She regularly shared content connected to the tournament and supported Yamal from the stands. The couple later celebrated together after Spain won the World Cup final on July 19, with García sharing her own photographs from the victory.

The timing of García’s birthday made the celebration unusual. She turned 21 while Yamal and the Spanish national team were competing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Her July 9 birthday came one day before Spain’s match against Belgium, meaning Yamal was still in the middle of preparations for one of the biggest tournaments of his career. 

Still, he found a way to make García’s birthday special. Four days later, the roles were reversed when Yamal celebrated his 19th birthday on July 13. García marked his birthday on Instagram with her own affectionate post. 

Who is Inés García?

García is a Spanish influencer from Seville who has built a large following through fashion, beauty and lifestyle content. Her profile has grown considerably since her relationship with Yamal became public.

Their relationship became public in May 2026 when García joined Yamal at FC Barcelona’s end-of-season dinner. By July, their social media posts were becoming much more openly affectionate.
