Jason Donovan is one of the biggest stars from Australia, with the actor and singer rising to fame on Neighbours, before embarking on a musical career, recording the hit Especially for You with then girlfriend, Kylie Minogue.
The star has continued to have major successes in both the acting and the musical world, appearing in the likes of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Prisoners of the Sun, while also recording six albums.
The star also became a staple on British reality TV, making the final of I’m a Celebrity in 2006 and Strictly Come Dancing back in 2011, and competing on Dancing On Ice in 2021, before having to withdraw from the series following an injury.

Jason’s wife
Jason is married to Angela Malloch, whom he met on the Rocky Horror Show UK tour in 1998. The couple tied the knot back in 2008 and share three children together.
In a sweet post marking their 20th anniversary, the star shared a series of snapshots of the couple together. “Happy anniversary Ange… Couldn’t do it without you,” Jason wrote in his caption. “Quite simply you are the most unselfish, committed, down to earth loyal partner, mother and friend I could ever wish for.
“How lucky am I to have you by my side!! Best friend ever! 20 years and still going strong….. I love you @ajmdonovan to infinity and beyond xxxxx.”
In 2008, during Jason’s 40th birthday celebrations in Bali, the actor praised his wife for “saving him” as he struggled with drug addiction in the nineties.

Before meeting Angela, Jason was in a relationship with pop star Kylie Minogue, with the pair meeting on the set of Neighbours. Their respective music careers often saw them spending time together, and three years after they became a couple, Kylie called Jason to split up with him after her heart was stolen by another man, INXS frontman Michael Hutchence.
Jason’s children
Jason is a doting dad to three children: Jemma, 25, 24-year-old Zac and 14-year-old Molly, all of whom he shares with wife Angela.

She made her debut in 2012, starring in Mr Stink, before appearing in Neighbours as Harlow Robinson, appearing as the character between 2019 and 2022. The actress also played the villainous social media influencer Rayne Royce in Hollyoaks, dating her co-star Owen Warner between 2023 and 2025.
In a social media post when Jemma secured her Neighbours role, Jason posted: “It’s official my daughter Jemma @jemma_donovan joins the cast of Neighbours @neighbours …. Neighbours has been an incredible launching pad for so many careers … still going strong!! 3 generations of Donovans on Ramsay St has to be a first. Love this official shot. Can’t wait to see what you do with the character Harlow Robinson and most importantly watch you blossom as an actress. Work hard, have fun and enjoy the process. So proud of you Jem. Love you.”
Jason’s past struggles
Jason – who has been open about his drug addiction in the past – has previously admitted that he hopes his children learn from his mistakes. “My kids are very aware of what I’ve done in my life, or rather what I shouldn’t have done,” he said, reports The Mirror.
