Michelle Yeoh received her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, surrounded by a bevy of A-listers who each played a part in her long and storied career.
The 63-year-old looked incredible in a yellow silk gown with draped sleeves, a straight neckline, and a green leaf motif on the hip. She added silver jewelry and silver shoes with a floral design to complete the look, and wore her long, dark hair straight down past her shoulders.
“Michelle’s extraordinary talent, grace, and groundbreaking career have left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. Her star honors a trailblazer whose work continues to inspire audiences worldwide,” said Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez.
Notably absent from the event was Michelle’s husband, Jean Todt, who was on a trip to India, as she revealed in her speech. In her address, the star also thanked her parents for their lifelong support, and her brother and his wife for flying from Malaysia to surprise her.
“To those of you here today, my chosen family, each and every one of you, thank you for showing up, for standing beside me, for being part of my life in the quiet moments, not just the bright ones. Your presence means everything,” she shared.
