For as long as Téa Leoni and Tim Daly have been together, it might surprise you to know the couple has only been married for just over seven months.
The couple, both alumni of the famed Putney School in Vermont, first started dating back in 2014, when they began co-starring as husband and wife on the CBS drama Madam Secretary.
Their on-screen courtship blossomed into a real-life one, lasting throughout the show’s run until 2019 and beyond. In July of 2025, they finally tied the knot, officially blending together their families, including their kids from previous marriages.
In honor of the Bad Boys star’s 60th birthday, we’re diving deeper into the couple’s blended family with their four kids, including a pair who’ve followed in their parents’ footsteps…
But first, a preamble! Téa walked down the aisle twice before tying the knot with Tim, now 69. In 1991, she married TV commercial producer Neil Joseph Tardio Jr., which ended in 1995. In 1997, after just eight weeks of dating, she married actor David Duchovny. They separated in 2008, briefly reconciled, and separated again in 2011. By 2014, their divorce was finalized.
In 1982, Tim married fellow actress Amy Van Nostrand. They welcomed two children together before divorcing in 2010. Go here for more detail on their relationship.
Madeline West Duchovny was born in April 1999 to Téa and David in Los Angeles. She later moved to New York City with her family. While she originally planned to study medicine, appearing in a high school production of Slut: The Play inspired her to take up acting.
She made her screen debut in the TV movie Sick, also appearing in an episode of her dad’s X-Files revival season in 2018. She led the shows Saint X and Painkiller in 2023, and continues to act, most recently appearing in the play Diversion in New York City and will appear in the upcoming show The Five-Star Weekend and the movie Pearl.
Kyd Miller Duchovny was born in June of 2022 in LA to Téa and David. Like his older sibling, he was partially raised in New York City. Not much is known about him, his only screen appearance was in a 2003 episode of VH1: All Access. Per his private social media page, he graduated from Pitzer College in Claremont, California in 2025.
Samuel Pierce Daly was born in March of 1984 to Tim and Amy. He was a basketball player in high school before deciding to take up acting like his parents, making his screen debut in 2004 in an episode of the show Bereft.
He has since appeared in several movies and TV shows, most notably with recurring turns in the shows Madam Secretary (with his dad and future stepmom), Bull, The Magicians, and Bel-Air. His most recent credit is the upcoming film The Cereal Aisle Effect. Since 2015, he has been married to Marissa Bataille Daly, and they share two sons.
Emelyn Daly was born in September 1989. She briefly followed her parents and older brother into acting as well, appearing in four episodes of Madam Secretary between 2016 to 2019, but has now found her calling in the wellness space.
Emelyn works as a chef, holistic health coach, wellness advisor and guide, often sharing insight on social media into her efforts in mentorship and health-oriented guidance, sometimes getting her enthusiastic father involved as well. She is based primarily out of New York City and Vermont.
