Shakira’s Madrid residency is set to become one of the most ambitious live music events of the year. For her final stop on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, the Colombian superstar will perform 12 concerts at a custom-built venue that will be called Macondo Park. Fans will step into a temporary city inspired by her music, culture, and creative vision.

The idea is for Shakira fans not just to attend a concert, but to spend hours immersed in an environment that combines music, art, literature, cuisine, and interactive experiences before Shakira takes the stage.

The temporary venue has been designed by internationally renowned architecture firm BIG–Bjarke Ingels Group, whose vision includes lush landscaping, vibrant colors, palm trees, and colorful walkways connecting a series of themed pavilions.

Macondo Park will open daily from 12 p.m. until midnight, allowing fans to explore the site for hours before Shakira’s concerts, which are scheduled from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Eight pavilions inspired by Shakira’s world

The temporary city will revolve around eight distinct spaces celebrating different aspects of the singer’s career and Latin culture:

  • Shakira’s Creative Universe: A museum-style exhibition featuring iconic stage costumes, memorabilia, and highlights from her career.
  • Macondo: An immersive experience inspired by Gabriel García Márquez’s legendary fictional town and the spirit of magical realism.
  • Music: Secondary stages, sound installations, and live musical experiences beyond the main concert.
  • Fashion and Art: Exhibitions and collaborations with Latin American artists and designers.
  • Gastronomy: Food experiences showcasing flavors from across Latin America.
  • Film and Audiovisuals: Interactive screenings exploring Shakira’s connection to Latin culture and visual storytelling.
  • Macondito: A children’s space that will also host school visits from Monday through Thursday.
  • Interactive Experience Zone: Hands-on activities, games, and participatory attractions for visitors of all ages.

Fan zones and premium experiences

At the center of the venue will be Macondo Plaza, a gathering space designed as the heart of the temporary city, alongside a fan zone where concertgoers can spend time before each performance.

For guests seeking an upgraded experience, two premium viewing areas, Espacio Garden and Espacio Terrace, will offer elevated perspectives of the stage and exclusive amenities.
