Becky G is experiencing one of the most vibrant chapters of her life. Professionally, her career is strong; personally, she’s more connected than ever to her core, roots, and purpose. That’s clear in her interview with Europa FM, where she discusses her artistic growth, her new documentary “REBECCA,” and her summer hit with Manuel Turizo, “Qué Haces.”

Becky G still gets emotional when thinking about the impact “Mayores” had in Spain, a country that, as she says, “gave me my first number one.” That memory doesn’t just excite her, it reconnects her with the dreamer she once was.

That same spirit inspired “Qué Haces,” her collab with Colombian star Manuel Turizo: “It was made by the versions of ourselves that once dreamed of being here,” she says proudly.

The chemistry between Becky and Turizo created a summer-ready anthem, full of natural charm and playful energy. But beyond the addictive beat, there’s a clear message communicating that music today knows no borders or boxes. “We’re all genreless artists now,” Becky says, referencing the creative freedom that defines the industry right now.

A Dream Collab Might Be Brewing

There’s no release date or official title yet, but Becky G dropped a bomb! She’s in talks with Rauw Alejandro. “Absolutely,” she says when asked about a potential collab. But she also admits to feeling the weight of expectations: “Once you reach a certain level, the pressure gets real…”

Becky doesn’t want to drop just any track. With her reputation as the “queen of collabs,” the bar is set sky-high. And the dream list doesn’t stop there. She’s open to teaming up with Spanish pop star Aitana. After spending several weeks in Spain, she hopes to make something beautiful with local talent, too.

Beyond the stages and superstar features, Becky is also opening up like never before in her new documentary, “REBECCA.” It captures her latest solo tour and the making of “Esquinas,” her first Mexican regional album.

“I was scared to share parts of myself that most people didn’t know,” she admits to the publication. But the result is powerful, raw, and healing. At a time when many Latin artists are reconnecting with their roots, Becky sees this move as a reclaiming: “It’s a way to protect our communities.”

Her album “Esquinas” wasn’t a trend-chasing move or a PR strategy; it was a heartfelt decision. “The idea wasn’t new, but the moment was,” she says. That cultural and political moment has organically brought many artists into a wave of deeper authenticity.

Becky G also reflects on how far she’s come as a woman in the music industry. From the backlash over “Mayores” and its lyrics to today, a lot has changed. “There’s still a long way to go, but I’m proud to be part of the wave that helped shift things.”

Today, she sings what she feels, in whatever language she wants, with whatever sound fits her truth. Her path is pure authenticity, from reggaeton to regional Mexican, from pop to activism. “I never wanted translators by my side. It was scary, but my biggest success followed once I faced that fear.”

A New Era, Just for Her

Even with a career that ticks every box, singer, actress, activist, and entrepreneur, Becky G is entering a new, more introspective phase in her personal life. “I’m doing things for me now, not for others. That’s something new,” she reveals.

And on that empowering journey, countless women are following her lead. Becky’s story isn’t just about pop stardom; it’s about a young woman who learned to shine on her own terms, with no filters and no apologies.
