This year, things might be different. While Swift released her twelfth album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” the record dropped after the Grammy eligibility period, leaving her unable to be considered for this year’s Grammys. She’s also busy with her wedding planning, with her and Travis Kelce announcing their engagement last year.

The pair shared the happy news on their social media, sharing a photo of the engagement. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” she captioned the post.

The rumors of Swift’s attendance or performance were put to rest by one of the Grammy producers, Ben Winston. “The only reason people think Taylor might be performing or coming is because HITS decided to print it this week and put it in their HITS List, and it was picked up globally,” he said in an interview with HITS Daily Double.

“But HITS just totally made that up. And now I am getting asked about it by you, as if it’s a real thing, when it was made up in your office! That really is a full-circle rumor!”

This year’s Grammys will take place on Sunday, February 1st, and will be hosted by Trevor Noah, who’s stepping in as host for his fifth and final time.

Over the past weeks, the Recording Academy has been announcing some of this year’s performers, which include all eight Best New Artist nominees, Sabrina Carpenter, Post Malone, Pharrell, Lauryn Hill, Justin Bieber, Katseye, and more.

This year’s list of nominees includes a wide variety of artists, including Kendrick Lamar, who leads with nine nominations, Lady Gaga, with seven, and Bad Bunny and Carpenter with six nominations each. The show will be airing on CBS, starting at 8 pm ET. It will also be streaming on Paramount+.
