As Venice becomes the hotspot for celebrities and stars this week, the arrival of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner marks the official start of what is being called the wedding of the year.
The couple was spotted in Venice ahead of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s long-awaited union, which is set to be a multi-day celebration that will host around 200 of the most influential names on the planet.
With a ceremony planned to stretch over three to four days, from Wednesday through Saturday, anticipation is at an all-time high. The event has already suffered last-minute changes and is set to bring together big names, such as Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Orlando Bloom, Jessica Alba, Kim Kardashian, and many more.
Ivanka Trump was spotted stepping into a Venetian gondola wearing a crop top and skirt adorned with red embroidery, completing the white summery ensemble with oversized sunglasses and sandals, styling her hair in a casual bun.
Jared Kushner wore a pale blue linen shirt and a baseball cap. The couple was accompanied by their three children, Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore.
Arabella wore a red floral maxi dress, while the boys wore casual T-shirts and athletic shorts. The family looked relaxed as they boarded a water taxi after landing at Marco Polo Airport.
The final celebration has been relocated from the historic Scuola Grande di Misericordia to the more secure Arsenale building. The Arsenale offers easier control, making it more secure, and a team of former U.S. Marines has reportedly been hired for the weekend.
While no official guest list has been published, rumored names include Orlando Bloom, Bill Gates, Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and even the queen of Jordan.
Reports have also suggested that Donald Trump might not attend in person, with Joshua Kushner and Karlie Kloss also said to have been invited. Fashion icon Diane von Fürstenberg was also seen arriving in Venice.
Another big part of the wedding is Lauren’s outfit changes, as there are rumors that the media personality will be wearing multiple looks designed by top fashion houses such as Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, and Schiaparelli, with the bridal gown rumored to be Oscar de la Renta.
