Jack Schlossberg isn’t leaving anything to chance with Rev. Al Sharpton, it seems.

After meeting with the Democrat kingmaker for breakfast last week at the Regency in New York, Schlossberg reunited with the Rev.at his annual National Action Network Convention at the Sheraton hotel on Wednesday. Sharpton told him, “come here little Jack” before introducing him as “President Kennedy’s great… grandson, running for congress.”

Schlossberg took the stage, and told everyone, “I got to meet Reverend Sharpton, speak to him, over breakfast a couple of days ago and, I mean, this person does not get tired. I don’t understand.”

“You are doing so much more than anyone that I know to advance the cause of civil rights,” said Schlossberg, who’s running for New York’s 12th Congressional District, “You’ve been doing it my whole lifetime. You did it a whole lifetime before I was born and you’re still doing it.”

The candidate appeared like a consumate politician, a far cry from the image the public is used to, trolling his adversaries on social media. Schlossberg said Sharpton “gives us… young people, especially, someone to look up to and an example to learn from.”

Schlossberg then launched into somewhat of a campaign speech, explaining, “I’m running for congress and you’re sitting in the district [I’d] represent and I’ll say our campaign slogan is ‘Believe in something again.’” “I stil’ believe in politics. It’s broken, but I still believe in it,” he said.

Sharpton’s longtime rep, Rachel Noerdlinger, previously told us the Rev. was clear that he wasn’t offering a political endorsement when the two met over breakfast. That appears to still be the case, despite Schlossberg’s Wednesday appearance at NAN.
