Jason Momoa turned the red carpet into a family affair at the Chief of War premiere on Friday, July 18, 2025.
The event, held in Ko Olina, Hawaii, saw the Aquaman actor arriving in coordinated outfits with his children, making a bold statement that honored their heritage.
Momoa was joined by his 16-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf and 17-year-old daughter Lola, all dressed in what appeared to be attire inspired by traditional tribal elements. Jason commanded attention in a dramatic fur cape, accessorized with two bone daggers and a bone necklace.
Nakoa-Wolf wore a tank top, a striking necklace made of teeth, and a similar cape. Lola completed the trio’s coordinated look with a brown cutout dress topped with a matching capelet.
Also by Jason’s side was his girlfriend, actress Adria Arjona. She turned heads in a burnt orange ruffled gown, walking the carpet hand-in-hand with Jason. The couple, who made their public debut in spring 2024, appeared deeply in love—often exchanging smiles and locking eyes throughout the evening.
The Apple TV+ miniseries Chief of War, co-created by Jason and Thomas Paʻa Sibbett, centers on a warrior’s quest to unify Hawai‘i’s four kingdoms prior to Western colonization in the late 1700s. A project that’s deeply personal to Jason, who is of Native Hawaiian descent, the premiere was a celebration of both cultural pride and storytelling legacy.
“This is playing my ancestors. This is, if I fail, I’m not coming home,” Jason told KHON. “Home. You know, I can’t come home. We could be embarrassed. And I mean, it’s everything, it’s my soul, it’s my it’s my DNA. I think today is going to be probably the most impactful and important moment in my life.”
Jason shares his children with ex-wife Lisa Bonet. The pair, who separated in 2020 and finalized their divorce in 2024, continue to co-parent closely and support one another as a family.
