Violet Affleck is proving to be her mom Jennifer Garner’s twin. The duo was recently spotted in Los Angeles, and they’re making the case for being one of Hollywood’s strongest mother-daughter resemblances.
The 54-year-old actress stepped out with her eldest daughter in Los Angeles on Thursday, July 30, for a casual lunch together.

The outing marked Jennifer’s first public sighting since the death of her former mother-in-law, Christopher Anne “Chris” Boldt, was announced.
© WENN Rights LtdAs expected, Chris’ death has reportedly been especially difficult for her sons Ben and Casey Affleck. A source told PEOPLE that the loss was hitting the brothers “really hard,” adding that their children have been an important source of comfort as the family grieves.
“Losing your mom is an unimaginable loss at any age, and they’re grieving deeply,” the insider said, adding that Ben and Casey are “surrounded by an incredible support system.”
“The family is leaning on one another, and they’ll get through it together,” the source continued. They also noted that they’re leaning on their children during this time.
Jennifer remained close to Chris long after she and Ben separated in 2015 and finalized their divorce three years later. The educator and activist continued to be a presence in the lives of Jennifer and the former couple’s three children, Violet, Fin and Samuel, attending activities and spending time with the family as the kids grew up.
Chris was also a grandmother to Casey’s two children, Indiana and Atticus, whom he shares with ex-wife Summer Phoenix.
How Violet is keeping her grandma’s legacy alive
Chris was an activist who protested the Vietnam War and embraced the counterculture movement of the 1960s. Decades later, she became involved with advocacy surrounding water justice in Palestine after traveling to the region in 2009. Her obituary described her five grandchildren as “the animating force of her last two decades” and noted that she was especially delighted when they “questioned, defied, or cleverly engaged authority.”
Violet has shown she isn’t afraid to do just that. The college student has emerged as an outspoken advocate on public health issues in recent years, taking her concerns directly to lawmakers and public officials.
