Jennifer Lopez proves once again that even the most low-key moments can double as a fashion statement. The global icon was spotted leaving the Beverly Hills Hotel after checking in on her new home under construction in Calabasas, and true to form, she transformed a casual outing into a polished, camera-ready appearance.
Leaning slightly out of her sleek black car, Lopez delivered a relaxed and refined look. What stood out immediately was the simplicity of the outfit. Lopez opted for a black one-shoulder top, a silhouette that subtly highlights the collarbone and shoulders while maintaining a clean, modern edge.
Her accessories did the heavy lifting. Oversized black sunglasses framed her face, adding instant drama while maintaining privacy. Gold jewelry, including stacked bracelets and rings, introduced warmth and texture without overwhelming the look.
Her beauty choices followed the same philosophy. Glossy nude lips, softly defined skin, and sleek, flowing hair completed the aesthetic.
Calabasas Construction and a New Chapter
The sighting also ties into a larger narrative. Lopez was reportedly visiting her new house under construction, signaling another shift in her lifestyle and real estate portfolio. Calabasas has long been associated with privacy, luxury, and exclusivity, making it a natural fit for high-profile figures.
Her latest real estate gem is a sprawling 2.5-acre retreat located in the celebrity-favored enclave of Hidden Hills, California. The property features a main house that exceeds 10,000 square feet, along with a guest house, a pool house, a private gym, a home theater, a set of equestrian stables, and a horse track.
According to Marca, the Spanish publication that first reported on the renovation, the singer and actress is fully hands-on with the remodel. “Jennifer is renovating the home and making it what she wants to make it,” a source told the outlet. “She’s spending money because she wants everything to have a personal touch. She wants the place to be luminous, happy, and sexy.”
Lopez, who first lived in Calabasas, reportedly wanted to return to a quieter lifestyle. “Jennifer wanted to get away from the crowds in the city and enjoy a quieter life. It’s not about being away from Ben or his family,” said the source.
When Lopez and Ben Affleck tied the knot in 2022, they were living in a jaw-dropping Beverly Hills mansion, valued at a casual $68 million, by May 2023. The home had 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a sports lounge, a boxing ring, and even a pickleball court. It was designed to accommodate their blended family, which includes Lopez’s twins, Max and Emme, as well as Affleck’s children, Violet, Fin, and Samuel. However, fairytales—and estates with 24 bathrooms—don’t always have a happy ending.
