Jessica Simpson, 45, is dwarfed by her towering teen son in special moment

Jessica Simpson is having one of those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it parenting moments, and fans can hardly believe how fast time has flown.

The singer and fashion mogul, 45, recently shared a touching black-and-white photo with her youngest child, son Ace, and the image instantly stopped followers in their tracks. 

In the candid snap, Jessica looks positively petite as her 12-year-old towers over her, leaning down to gently kiss the top of her head in a tender display of affection.

The sweet moment appears to have been captured inside the family’s home, with the duo standing in the kitchen as their fluffy dog wanders nearby. 

Jessica is dressed casually in an oversized hoodie paired with thigh-high socks, while Ace keeps things sporty in a sleeveless basketball jersey, shorts and trainers, an outfit that only further highlights his impressive height.

Captioning the post with humor and pride, Jessica joked that her “12-yr-old Ace is much taller than his mama,” adding a heart emoji. She also revealed a sentimental detail, noting that her son was born to a meaningful song, a reminder of how deeply personal the moment was for the star.

Fans were quick to react, flooding the comments with amazement at just how grown-up Ace looks. Many pointed out that the pre-teen has clearly hit a major growth spurt, with some joking that he’ll soon be taller than everyone in the family.

Jessica shares Ace with her ex husband Eric Johnson, along with their two older children, Maxwell and Birdie. 

While the star tends to keep her kids’ lives relatively private, she occasionally offers glimpses into motherhood.

Caught by TMZ at the airport last Thanksgiving, Jessica confirmed that she, Eric and the kids all spent Thanksgiving together at her mom’s house.

Maintaining that “of course” they would celebrate it together, she emphasized: “It’s my kids’ father,” adding that all their grandparents were also in attendance. “They have a lot of them. Family first.”

“No matter what your kid is half the other person. Always have respect for what you say around so they can always have a good perspective on it,” Jessica further shared, and maintained that “unconditional love is important.”

Though Jessica, Eric and the kids have been based in Los Angeles for over a decade, she has recently also been living in Nashville, as she works on her musical comeback. 

Earlier this year, Jessica proved her commitment to co-parenting and to having an amicable relationship with her ex when they came together to celebrate their son Ace’s 12th birthday in July. 

In honor of his special day, the doting mom took to Instagram and shared a round of photos from the celebrations, starting off with a black and white shot of the two posing next to each other with a six flags sign behind them.
