John Oliver met his wife, Kate Norley, in 2008 at the Republican National Convention. John was there for the Daily Show, while Kate was there promoting Vets for Freedom. Kate was a combat medic and a mental health specialist in the Iraq War. They hit it off that night and started dating shortly after. John and Kate got engaged in July 2010 and tied the knot the following year in October 2011. John and Kate have two sons; their eldest son Hudson was born prematurely.
