John Travolta’s daughter Ella channels mom Kelly Preston in elegant high-neck gown

John Travolta is having a full-circle moment. When his daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta, stepped onto the pink carpet at the 2026 Fashion Trust U.S. Awards, she didn’t just attend, she stole the show. 

The event, held at Nya Studios West in Los Angeles, marked a striking appearance for the 26-year-old, whose poised elegance drew immediate comparisons to her late mother, Kelly Preston.

Dressed in a floor-length black Blumarine gown, Ella embraced understated drama. The high neckline and delicately embroidered floral details gave the look a refined, almost ethereal quality.

Her styling followed suit, featuring a softly tousled updo paired with a “soft-glam” beauty look, defined by winged eyeliner and a muted peach lip, showcasing a polished, modern, and quietly radiant moment.

For John Travolta, the moment called for celebration. Sharing a photo of Ella from the red carpet on Instagram, the actor wrote simply, “So proud of my baby girl.” The sentiment, though brief, echoed loudly, another public display of the close bond the two have cultivated over the years.

That connection has only deepened through shared milestones and personal loss. Following the passing of Kelly Preston in July 2020 after a two-year battle with breast cancer, and the earlier loss of their son Jett in 2009, the Travolta family has remained tightly knit. 

Alongside Ella, Travolta is also father to Benjamin, now 15. Through it all, he has taken on the role of both parent and mentor, guiding Ella as she shapes her own path in entertainment.

Beyond her growing presence in fashion circles, Ella is stepping into film alongside her father in his directorial debut, ‘Propeller One-Way Night Coach.’ The project carries personal significance, as it is based on a children’s book Travolta wrote in 1997 for his late son, Jett.

In the film, Ella takes on the role of a flight attendant, marking another chapter in their creative collaboration. The movie is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2026 before its global release on Apple TV+ on May 29.

Ella’s artistry doesn’t stop at acting. In 2024, she released her EP ‘Colors of Love,’ a musical project dedicated to her mother’s memory, further proof of her multidimensional talent and emotional depth.

Their relationship, often described as deeply supportive and creatively intertwined, continues to play out both privately and in the public eye. Travolta frequently champions his daughter’s work, while Ella has referred to him as her “biggest fan.” 

Together, they’ve navigated grief, growth, and the demands of the spotlight, emerging not just as family, but as collaborators.
