Kaia Geber infused her red carpet sartorial agenda with a dose of 90s chic as she attended the official launch skate party for FX’s The Shards at Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale.
Styled by Emma Jade Morrison, the actress stepped out in an elegant Gucci ensemble that embodied the understated minimalism so synonymous with the era. The sleek ensemble consisted of a black micro crop top that featured spaghetti straps and a scooped neckline, leaving her midriff bare. The risqué top was teamed with a matching low-rise black column skirt.
Kaia’s luscious brunette locks were left down in soft waves while her makeup exuded soft glam, courtesy of a smoky eye and nude lip.
The Shards, a Ryan Murphy-led series, is based on the book by Bret Easton Ellis. The show follows a serial killer who stalks the rich kids of LA in the ’80s, with the official synopsis reading: “Igby Rigney stars as Bret, an aspiring writer and keenly observant teenager whose reality begins to unravel with the arrival of a mysterious and magnetic new student, Robert Mallory (Homer Gere).”
“Transferring in just before his senior year, Robert’s appearance coincides with the growing terror of The Trawler, a serial killer targeting teenagers across the city,” the synopsis continued.
“Alongside Bret is his elite social circle, which includes Susan Reynolds (Kaia Gerber), Debbie Schaffer (Hayes Warner) and Thom Wright (Graham Campbell), a glamorous and deeply entangled group drawn into a life of wealth, beauty, parties and excess.”

Kaia’s appearance comes after she admitted that she doesn’t think she looks like her supermodel mom, Cindy Crawford, despite the frequent comparisons. “It’s an honor when people tell me I look like my mom. I wish I did. I think, even on my best days, I’m not even close. But like, it means so much to me,” she told Yahoo Entertainment in response to the outlet calling the duo “definitely twins.”
