Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau’s summer love may be entering a new chapter. After weeks of jet-setting across Europe and stealing moments together between Perry’s festival dates, the couple is reportedly ready to slow things down and focus on what comes next.
According to a Us Weekly insider, Perry and the former Canadian prime minister are planning to spend August creating a more stable routine, not just for themselves, but for their children as well.
“They will finally have time to settle in as a blended family,” a source told the outlet, noting that Perry’s Out of Office Tour will pick back up at the end of August.
The insider added that the pair has already been navigating family life while overseas, sharing that they have been coparenting throughout Europe alongside their respective exes. “Over the last month, they have been coparenting in Europe, and their exes Sophie and Orlando have been there,” the source explained.
Perry shares 5-year-old daughter Daisy with former fiancé Orlando Bloom, while Trudeau is father to Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 17, and Hadrien, 12, whom he shares with ex-wife Sophie Grégoire.
According to the source, August will be an opportunity to slow down, “re-stabilize,” and “lay some roots down and get a proper rhythm.” Their priority is making sure there is a “stable system” for their kids.
The popstar life was apparently not what Trudeau had in mind after he left office. The insider told Us Weekly that the former prime minister had originally envisioned a quieter chapter after leaving office in March 2025.
He purchased a home and thought he’d be returning to Montreal. However, his relationship with Perry has reshaped those plans, and he has “yet to settle into the home because of his relationship and the new world they live in.” “Everyone is rooting for them, but they need to settle down a bit, so that’s the plan,” they said.
Their European summer
The report comes just days after Perry and Trudeau were photographed soaking up the sun aboard a yacht in the South of France following the conclusion of her European summer festival run.
In one spicy moment, the former prime minister was photographed helping Perry apply sunscreen while the pair laughed together on deck.
The getaway is the beginning of some well-earned downtime. A previous report from Page Six claimed the singer had been planning a yacht vacation, with a source telling the outlet she hoped to “cruise to some beautiful places” with Trudeau and “possibly their kids.”
Orlando’s new chapter
Both Perry and Bloom have found new relationships following the end of their nearly decade-long romance.
While Perry has been enjoying time with Trudeau, Bloom has recently been linked to German model Luisa Laemmel.
The two have been spotted together multiple times throughout Europe this summer, including in Saint-Tropez and Milan, after first sparking speculation earlier this year following a Super Bowl weekend outing.
Page Six previously reported the pair had been “quietly seeing each other for several months,” with one insider describing them as a “proper little family unit.”
