It seems one of the most fan-favorite couples in Hollywood has called it quits following weeks of speculation surrounding their relationship. Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have reportedly called it quits after being together for almost a decade.
As reported by TMZ, the actor is single and ready to move forward, just in time for what’s shaping up to be the wedding of the year, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s celebration in Venice, Italy.
According to sources who spoke with TMZ, Orlando’s arrival at the festivities could be his full-on debut as a single man. “He’s the life of the party and he’s gonna hit the dance floor hard,” the outlet reported, hinting that Bloom’s energy will be a standout following news of the split.
It was also reported that the actor is planning to link up with Leonardo DiCaprio for some fun around Venice. This comes amid growing speculation about his relationship status.
His fiancée, Katy Perry, is noticeably absent from the wedding guest list, as she is currently on her global “143” tour. But despite professional obligations, the singer’s absence has only intensified rumors of a breakup.
After years of high-profile red carpets, romantic milestones, and welcoming their daughter Daisy Dove, it seems the couple may have quietly ended their engagement.
Fans first noticed the rumored marriage struggles after reports surfaced that Bloom was not thrilled with Perry’s recent space trip, made possible by her friendship with Bezos and Sánchez. “He told her the whole thing looked ridiculous,” one insider told the Daily Mail.
“She hoped he’d be more supportive. Of course, she was hurt. Imagine going to space,” the insider continued, “and your partner isn’t impressed.”
According to the same source, Katy felt the wedding invite was more hers than his, and his attendance at the celebration was “difficult for her to accept.”
It’s not the first time the couple has hit pause. In 2017, they “took a loving, respectful space,” eventually rekindling things with a Valentine’s Day engagement in 2019.
