Kelly Osbourne honors late dad Ozzy with touching detail during surprise runway appearance

Kelly Osbourne made her return to the runway a deeply personal one.

The 41-year-old paid tribute to her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, while making a surprise appearance during London Fashion Week on September 18. 

Kelly took part in designer Natasha Zinko’s Spring/Summer 2027 “Pay Per View” presentation, which featured a capsule collection created in collaboration with OnlyFans.

For the unconventional fashion show, Kelly stepped out in a black-and-white, tuxedo-inspired ensemble featuring a backless white halter top, black bow tie and fitted black pencil skirt. The look had a theatrical, maid-inspired quality that fit with the presentation’s provocative theme.

She paired the outfit with an equally dramatic beauty transformation, trading her recent blonde locks for a jet-black rounded bob with an asymmetrical fringe sweeping over one eye. 

The hairstyle was actually a wig, with Kelly sharing glimpses of the transformation behind the scenes. But the most meaningful detail wasn’t part of her outfit.

During the presentation, Kelly twirled a small bat ornament that belonged to her late father, according to Vogue, turning the fashion moment into a subtle but unmistakable tribute to the Black Sabbath frontman.

The bat has long been associated with Ozzy because of one of the most infamous moments of his career. During a 1982 concert in Des Moines, Iowa, the rocker bit the head off a bat that had been thrown onto the stage, an incident that became part of his larger-than-life rock ‘n’ roll mythology.

Kelly’s tribute comes just days after she spoke candidly about losing her father and revealed one of the final conversations they shared before his death in July 2025 at age 76.

During a September 15 appearance on Paul C. Brunson’s “We Need to Talk” podcast, Kelly recalled that approximately three days before his death, Ozzy sat her down and made sure she knew how deeply he loved her.

“No matter what happens in this life, you can live the rest of your life knowing that there was one man on this planet that truly loved you,” Kelly recalled her father telling her, before revealing that he said that man was him.

Kelly said she immediately began crying and asked her father not to speak that way. Three days later, he died.

She also opened up about the devastating impact the loss had on her life, describing herself as a “shell” of who she once was. Kelly said she struggled to speak, eat or take care of herself and began drinking again while grieving her father.

She has since returned to sobriety and revealed during the interview that she was eight months sober. “I will never, ever be over it,” she said of losing her dad.

Her London Fashion Week appearance offered another glimpse at how Kelly continues to keep Ozzy’s memory close. Rather than simply referencing one of the rocker’s most recognizable symbols, she stepped into the spotlight carrying an object that had actually belonged to him.

Kelly wasn’t the only familiar face involved in Zinko’s unconventional presentation. Katie Price and “The Sopranos” actress Drea de Matteo were also among the participants.

The London presentation departed from the traditional catwalk format, placing performers in individual spaces throughout the venue and allowing each participant to incorporate a personal prop into their performance. For Kelly, that element became an opportunity to honor her father while making her fashion week appearance.
