While Kelly Osbourne spent her late teen years on screen on the MTV reality show The Osbournes, the star is raising her son relatively out of the spotlight. The 41-year-old grew up in the limelight with Sharon Osbourne and the late Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne as her famous set of parents, and spent much of her childhood moving between the UK and the US while her dad was on tour.
Now that she has a child of her own, Kelly has opted for a quiet family life outside of the bustling city, setting up home on a farm in Iowa with her musician fiancé Sid Wilson and their three-year-old son Sidney. Read on for all you need to know about Kelly’s farm life away from Hollywood.
Quiet family life on Iowa farm
Kelly first met Slipknot member Sid Wilson back in 1999 when the band was touring with Ozzfest (a heavy metal and rock festival her parents founded). The pair’s friendship eventually turned into romance around early 2022, and they welcomed their son Sidney together in November that same year. In July 2025, the couple announced they were engaged.
Over the last few years, Kelly and Sid have been living together and raising their son in Iowa on a farm that is reportedly around 100 acres. “I love my family and I love my farm!” Kelly shared a rare glimpse at her quiet countryside life to Instagram in November 2025.
The star seems to have truly immersed herself in farm living, posting pictures wearing gumboots around the property and spending time with her son in the paddocks.
They have lots of animals
From chicken coops to ducks swimming on the property and lots of cows, Kelly’s son is growing up surrounded by farm animals. Kelly has shared photos and footage of herself and her family spending time with the animals, including family walks around the property with their dogs.
The star has taken on a hands-on approach to looking after the animals, even helping with ‘duck training’. “We are teaching them to leave the coop in the day and walk down to the pond and back again,” she shared in a social media video back in November. “It was a bit of work but so worth it! They loved it!”
Kelly and her fiancé have even named the animals – and their cows have been aptly inspired by some famous musicians. “I’m thinking Dolly for the fluffy one and Emmylou for the little one,” Kelly brainstormed and told Sid the names were from country singers, presumably after Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris.
“Somebody else had an idea of naming one of them what my dad’s nickname for me was,” she said, revealing the nickname was ‘totsie’. She continued: “But that would make me cry every time I call her name.”
She’s teaching her son ‘farm chores’
The star revealed in one video posted in November that her son tags along with her for the “daily farm chores” – including checking in on the chickens.
The Osbournes star got to work to collect duck and chicken eggs in a basket while her son joined her to say hi to the animals, wearing a pair of little red gumboots, while Kelly put a stylish spin on countryside style in a black leather jacket.
“I love how much Baby Sidney loves Farm Life,” Kelly captioned more photos with their chickens on 11 November.
