Khloé Kardashian is opening up about the way the Kardashian-Jenner clan manages money between themselves.
During the Jan. 7 episode of her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, the 41-year-old host took part in an “ask me anything” segment, where fans asked how often she and her sisters keep tabs on what they owe one another.
“Me and my sisters do not Venmo each other, but we always take turns,” Khloé explained of Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner. “I would never go with one of my sisters and expect them to always pay. We always rotate. It’s just never a thing. Everyone’s really respectful with each other.”
She went on to share a recent situation involving Kim’s children, when she purchased outfits for their school spirit day and turned down Kim’s attempt to reimburse her.
“I’m like, ‘Kim, it’s fine. Like, we’re good,’” Khloé said. “And we’re always good, and I didn’t get it back. But then later, she’s like,’Oh, let me buy this for you since you got me that stuff.’ We’re always aware of someone else spending money. We don’t take advantage.”
“I think we’re, dare I say, normal in that regard,” she continued. “We’re respectful of each other. I’m not like, ‘Kim has it. She’s a billionaire.’ No. Money is money.”
Khloé had previously addressed the family’s approach to finances while talking about their annual Christmas Eve celebration on a December episode of her podcast with her mother, Kris Jenner. Although some years are more lavish than others — including Kim’s 2018 party, which reportedly cost about $1.3 million — she said the event is always funded collectively.
“We all equally split the cost of the party,” Khloé shared.
“Yeah, because it gets really crazy,” added Kris, 70, who launched the tradition in 1978 with “very few people” invited. “I think one of the most fun things, too, is to be able to share things with our friends. And so we’ve always been able to do some really amazing gifts for everybody at the end of the party.”
Kris also explained that the planning involves shared Pinterest boards and multiple meetings, with the entire family invited to participate. However, Khloé noted that everyone is still expected to contribute financially, regardless of their involvement.
“Not everyone shows up and that’s fine,” she quipped. “But if you don’t show up, you don’t get a say so. Like, then you can’t come to the third meeting and be like, ‘Oh, I don’t like that.’ Nope. We’ve already had two meetings before. We’ve decided on X, Y, and Z.”
