Khloe Kardashian is revisiting a rarely discussed chapter in her family’s life. In a new episode of her podcast, Khloe talked about Ellen Pierson, the woman who married Robert Kardashian shortly before his death.
Khloe discussed Pierson in a new episode of “Khloe in Wonder Land.” “I don’t have really anything of my dad’s,” she said. “When my dad died, a woman married him weeks on his deathbed and took everything from us, so I don’t have anything of my dad’s. Long story.”
Khloe’s comment was inspired by an important present she received from her sister Kim, who recently paid $80,000 to retrieve her late father’s bible from an auction. “It’s just so cool because I barely have anything with my dad’s handwriting, and the book has a personalized note from my — just to see my dad’s handwriting is so special to me,” said Khloe.
“And then to have that in a bible that’s engraved with my dad’s name… It’s just a really special piece.”

Robert Kardashian died in 2003 from esophageal cancer. He was married to Kris Jenner from 1978 until 1991, with the pair welcoming four kids together. Kardashian went on to marry two women before his death: Jan Ashley and Pierson.
The relationship with Pierson has been historically rocky, with her suing the family for defamation in 2013. She claimed that Kardashian’s journal painted Kris Jenner as a “manipulative and devious mother and ex-wife who simply used and exploited her children,” as reported by PEOPLE.
Khloe reportedly argued that her father wasn’t mentally sound due to his battle with cancer, and that Pierson had married Kardashian when he was “compromised.” The lawsuit was eventually settled and dismissed in 2015.
© Ron GalellaPierson was mentioned in an episode that came out this year in “The Kardashians.” In it, Kim and Khloe were discussing their father and the fact that they still dream about him, with Kim sharing that he was alive in her dream and that he was living in Los Angeles “with Ellen” but was hiding from his kids. “Ew,” said Khloe.
The topic of Kardashian is mentioned occasionally in the reality TV show, with most family members remembering him fondly. Jenner, who’s been honest about the fact that she cheated on Kardashian, has often said that she regrets that moment greatly.
“I don’t know because he was such a great husband and such a great dad, and I think that I fell into a situation where I thought that the grass was greener somewhere else, and I made a huge mistake. That’s my life’s biggest regret,” she said in one of the episodes.
