The 82nd Venice International Film Festival is underway, and the stars are in Italy for the prestigious event. The one and only Kim Kardashian was in attendance to receive a very special award, rocking a very interesting look.
Kardashian arrived at the Diane von Furstenberg Awards at Teatro Goldoni during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, where she received the humanitarian award. The billionaire arrived for her special day wearing a sheer gray Maison Margiela couture gown.
The sheer gray look from the fall 2025 couture runway had a high neckline and a draping, dramatic cape. It also had a unitard-like element.

While the dress is likely out of most people’s pay grade, it has gotten a lot of mixed reviews online. Some of the comments on social media about Kardashian’s look are, “All I see are sheets and wedgies,” “She had a wedgie, this is not fashion,” and “My cooter is annoyed by this.”
© The Grosby GroupOf course, it does not matter what the internet thinks of Kardashian’s outfit, as long as she was happy with how she looked. The proud recipient of the award took to Instagram to share a gallery of photos with insight into what the award meant to her.
“I am truly humbled to have received the humanitarian award. Not for what I have done, but for the work that we all still have to do,” she wrote. Jokes about the dress aside, there was a very special element of the night. Chris Young, a Black man who was sentenced to life in prison in Tennessee under mandatory minimum laws despite his minor role in a nonviolent crime, introduced her.
In 2018, the aspiring lawyer teamed up with attorney Brittany K. Barnett of the Buried Alive Project to fight for Young’s release. They also brought in former federal judge Kevin Sharp, the same judge who handed down the sentence but later resigned and publicly condemned its unfairness, per Netflix Junkie.
Her advocacy helped him get released in 2021 after a decade behind bars. “The real honor was having Chris Young introduce me, standing there free! After serving 2 life sentences and us working hard to get him home, now being in Venice, Italy with us was so special,” she continued.
