On the steps of the Stockholm Concert Hall on this past Tuesday, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia posed for the kind of photograph the Swedish court hasn’t been able to offer in years. Images showed the royal couple flanked by all three of their children and each of their partners. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia, Princess Madeleine and Christopher O’Neill, all together and all accounted for, capping a day that began with the king formally declaring the 2026/2027 session of the Riksdag open.
