King Charles III is extending an olive branch to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. Earlier this year, it was reported that the Royal Family had decided not to invite the sisters to the Royal Ascot horse races due to the controversies surrounding their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson. The former Duke and Duchess of York have been facing media scrutiny due to their connections to Jeffrey Epstein.
Our sister website Hello! reports that, unlike Prince William and Kate Middleton, “senior members of the Royal Family have continued to check in on” the sisters, inviting them to an event that they’ve long been involved with.
Still, it’s unknown if the sisters will attend the festival. A friend of Beatrice and Eugenie discussed the tough position that the sisters are in. “The question is, would they want to go to a public event of that nature?” they said. “They will get criticism whether they go or not—and not just that event. They just can’t win.”

The Royal Ascot is a racing festival hosted in Berkshire, and is deeply linked with the royal family, with them yearly being involved in an official carriage procession. Afterward, they head to the Royal Enclosure to watch the races. This year, the event will be hosted from June 16th to 20th.

They have reportedly made their own plans, with them having the approval of the king.
