Kylie Jenner just proved that you can truly bedazzle anything. Not only did the beauty mogul revive the noughties rhinestone trend when she bejeweled her 29th birthday cake, she has now gone one step further in the name of piercings.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder took to Instagram on September 10 to show off her new decorative ears gems – and it’s a piercing trend set to make waves in the fashion sphere. The photograph captured Kylie holding back her luscious locks while revealing her new studs. Kylie’s lobe, lower helix, upper helix, and cartilage were all adorned with yellow diamond-encrusted stud earrings. The following snap showed that Kylie had also embellished her other ear with the exact same gems.
“Yellowwwww,” she penned alongside the image.
Kylie’s new piercings come after she celebrated her 29th birthday with a princess-kitty party in Los Angeles. The star shared a photograph of her iced birthday cake that has been frosted in colourful rhinestones. In true Kylie style, she sparked a major bedazzling trend that has since seen gemstones stuck onto phone cases, matcha cups, headphones, face masks, and even bodies. It’s a refreshing departure from the 90s minimalism trend that has peppered the sartorial sphere in the last few seasons.

The snap captured Kim scraping back her hair to reveal a diamond-encrusted gold ear cuff on the lower helix of her ear. The new jewel was styled with a dainty diamond lobe piercing. “Fave new ear cuff @ofirajewels,” Kim wrote alongside the picture.
Clearly piercings are a popular beauty statement in the family. North West even revealed recently the one piercing her parents will not allow her to get. “They just make you your full self,” North told Dazed about her love for piercings. “I really want to get my bridge pierced, but I’m not allowed.”
