Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky have been enjoying their new life with their baby girl. News broke on September 11 that the couple privately welcomed their first child, and it turns out the baby has been on Earth longer than people thought.
TMZ revealed on Thursday that the baby is a girl and the couple named her Rose Bean. According to the outlet that got their hands on the birth certificate, she was born on June 9 at 11:19 PM at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
They revealed that a celebrity OBGYN, Dr. Robert Katz, delivered the baby. They note that he also helped Ciara and Russell Wilson with their daughter, Sienna.
As for where the name comes from, a PEOPLE insider told the outlet it’s inspired by the song “La Vie En Rose.” Gaga covered the song for her Oscar-winning performance in the 2018 film A Star Is Born.
The 40-year-old also has a single rose with a long stem tattoo on her spine with the words, “la vie en rose” written in script next to it.
TMZ notes that the middle name could have been inspired by the singer and activist Carl Bean. Her mega viral hit “Was Born This Way” was inspired by him.
After news broke about the pregnancy, sources told the outlet the singer sounded “very happy” and “always wanted to be a mom.” “This was something very important to her,” an insider close to her said.
They explained that she was ready to slow down after her tour wrapped in April and now she’s “enjoying being away from the public eye and having this special time with the baby.”
The insider also had sweet things to say about the new dad, explaining that Michael is “great with the baby.” “They’re figuring everything out together. She doesn’t want to miss any of it,” they continued.
Before news broke about the baby, rumors were floating around that they may have gotten secretly married. But according to TMZ, that’s not true.
The new parents have been engaged since 2024. Gaga had expressed in March that they were planning on getting married, “soon.”
