Lady Gaga can work from home thanks to her soon-to-be husband. The singer recently gushed over her relationship with businessman Michael Polasnky, revealing how he’s been helping her with music.
The 38-year-old artist has her own money, but that doesn’t mean surprises and sweet gestures aren’t appreciated. Lady Gaga told Rolling Stone, that Polansky, who has an estimated net worth of $600 million, surprised her for Valentine’s Day with a home studio.
Not only that, he gave up his office for it. “For Valentine’s Day, he said, ‘I have a surprise for you,’ and he turned his office into a music studio. I mean, it’s kind of romantic,” she shared.
It was the perfect place for Gaga to work on her latest single “Disease,” for which Polansky has a co-writing credit. While creating art can be deeply personal, she called working with him “super intimate” and explained how he felt comfortable sharing his thoughts.
“I was navigating my way through some of the initial lyrics…Michael and I were sitting together, and he said, ‘You know there’s another way for you to say this,” she shared. “We tapped into things I didn’t really want to admit I was writing about, and we were able to do that together.”
The executive director of the Parker Foundation also served as a co-executive producer on her Harlequin companion album for Joker: Folie à Deux. “I think part of the magic of my relationship is that I can completely be my full creative self,” Gaga added. “It makes the producing process and the writing process really fluid with home life, too. It’s like a beautiful way to live. I’m really grateful for that.”
She also revealed the words of affirmation he gave her every day: “Something that Michael said to me every day while I was working is, ‘Go do what you were born to do and do it with every cell in your body. Have fun and be confident in your music.’”
Gaga and her fiance first sparked romance rumors in 2020 after being spotted kissing at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas. They went public weeks later and announced their engagement at the 2024 Paris Olympics in July. The soon-to-be bride revealed the “unpredictable” way he proposed in October. .
As for what’s next? A source told Entertainment Tonight in September, “They are already thinking about wedding plans and talking about possibly having a destination wedding in Europe.” “They’d love to get married sooner than later, and both want to start a family,” they added.
