Lana Del Rey has been keeping things pretty low-key lately, settling into a quieter life in Louisiana with her husband, gator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene. Now she’s giving fans a rare, personal look at their relationship.
The 40-year-old “Young and Beautiful” singer, born Elizabeth Grant, hopped on Instagram to share a sweet birthday tribute for Dufrene as he turned 51.
The couple looked completely smitten, picking up right where they left off after tying the knot in September 2024.
In the post, Del Rey shared a mix of recent clips from their everyday life. One standout was a simple seaside selfie where she went makeup-free, letting her natural look shine through.
She also posted a playful video of Dufrene loading plants into their truck after a Home Depot run. Once he noticed he was being filmed, the Louisiana native broke into a big grin and proudly showed off a Jack-o’-lantern planter.
Another photo captured a more intimate moment, with Del Rey holding onto his wrist while her eye-catching engagement ring took center stage.
In a different snap, she was seen wearing one of Dufrene’s tour guide shirts, complete with his name stitched above the pocket.
A few weeks earlier, the singer seemed to offer another peek into married life through a video on her Instagram Stories.
It started with a clip from the 1933 Betty Boop cartoon Snow-White, focusing on Koko the Clown as he transforms into a ghost. Then it suddenly switched to shaky, handheld footage of Del Rey dancing with a huge, joyful smile.
The pair have mostly stayed out of the spotlight since their wedding, but they did step out together last month for the Ralph Lauren pre–New York Fashion Week show on February 10.
While walking the red carpet, they even paused for a romantic kiss in front of cameras.
Del Rey and Dufrene first crossed paths back in 2019 during one of his swamp tours. They later reconnected and eventually got married in September 2024.
Back in August, Del Rey opened up about what drew her to him in the first place.
‘Like many people who work with large, dangerous beasts, Jeremy has a calm, strong presence,’ Del Rey told W magazine.
‘When we met, I realized pretty immediately that I loved him, but that it might get difficult because of what I was bringing to the table,’ she continued.
Del Rey said Dufrene reassured her early on in their relationship: ‘I work with alligators — I have tough skin.’
And according to her, he has stayed true to that mindset, even through tough moments: ‘All the things that made me upset — and there were so many! — he would just listen and say, “You be you — and I’ll just love you more.”’
