Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann’s Valentine’s Day looked a little bit different this year.
The Law & Order: SVU star and the Younger alum have been married since 2004, and together have welcomed son August, 19, in 2006, followed by daughter Amaya Josephine, 14, who they adopted in 2011, and son Andrew Nicholas, 13, who they adopted six months later.
And while they have celebrated plenty of Valentine’s Days together, this may be the first that they celebrate at the Olympics.
Over the weekend, Mariska took to Instagram and shared a loved up photo with Peter, the two surrounded by a crowd looking towards a ski run at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
In the selfie, Mariska appears embracing Peter, wearing a white puffer jacket as well as a burgundy beanie with Lindsey Vonn’s last name on it (Lindsey concluded her Olympics run last week when she crashed 13 seconds into a race she competed in with a ruptured ACL.)
Mariska later also shared a photo with Snoop Dogg, in which she is kissing the Lindsey Vonn photo printed on his shirt. “And sending a little love to my Galentine,” she wrote.
She captioned her photo with Peter: “I love you Peter Hermann,” and fans were quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it.
“Beautiful couple in a beautiful picture. I love seeing pictures of the both of you,” one wrote, as others followed suit with: “So sweet!! Cutest couple ever,” and: “So sweet! Beautiful photo,” as well as: “The best couple.”
Mariska and Peter first met in 2001 on the set of Law & Order: SVU, when he began guest starring as defense attorney Trevor Langan.
Their first date was at church, per Peter’s request, and of the special moment, Mariska once told People: “We went to church together, and it was like getting hit with a lightning bolt,” adding: “I just started sobbing. Peter thought I was crying because I was so moved by the service. No, it was because I was just overwhelmed, realizing he was the one.”
They officially tied the knot three years later in Santa Barbara, California, in front of around 200 of their closest friends and family members.
Last year, Mariska premiered her directorial debut, a documentary titled My Mom Jayne, about the life and early death of her mother Jayne Mansfield. Her husband Peter was a supportive figure in the documentary, and among the final scenes is a moment he gifts her her mother’s beloved piano she had spent years hoping to purchase.
