Leonardo DiCaprio has once again found himself at the center of attention. At tonight’s 2026 Golden Globes, he was on the receiving end of an unexpected joke that drew laughs from attendees and sparked some online chatter.
DiCaprio is nominated for his work in “One Battle After Another,” one of the biggest films of the night. At the start of the show, Nikki Glaser set her sights on DiCaprio, making a joke out of one of the most recurring topics when it comes to his public image: the age of his girlfriends.
The joke was a part of Glaser’s opening monologue, where she addressed various actors directly, praising their work and making some jokes related to their personas or their work. When DiCaprio got his turn, he was praised for his career achievements and was the source of inspiration for a great joke.

The reaction in the room was immediate, drawing gasps and laughs, including ones from DiCaprio. Glaser quickly softened the joke with an apology. “Leo, I’m sorry I made that joke; it’s cheap. I tried not to but, you know, we don’t know anything else about you, man. There’s nothing else, open up,” she added, resulting in even more laughs.
