Leslie Jones, born September 7, 1967, is an American comedian and actress who has built a powerhouse career with her sharp humor and fearless personality. On the Emmy-winning sketch show, Leslie quickly became a standout — from her bold “Weekend Update” appearances to her unforgettable original characters. Her work on SNL earned her three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series between 2017 and 2019.
Since leaving SNL in 2019, Leslie has continued to thrive in both film and television. She’s starred in movies like Ghostbusters (2016), Top Five (2014), and Coming 2 America (2021), and she’s lent her voice to projects like The Angry Birds Movie 2. She also joined the late-night world, guest-hosting The Daily Show in 2023, and continues to tour with her stand-up comedy.
