The BBC has unveiled a first look at season three of the hit comedy drama, Boarders, as a host of new faces join the cast, including Line of Duty’s Patrick Baladi and Rivals star Rufus Jones.
The series, filmed in Bristol, follows five talented black teens who swap their inner-city education for an elite boarding school after being offered scholarships at the prestigious St. Gilbert’s. The story follows the group as they attempt to make the most out of the opportunity, despite their places only being offered part of a PR strategy to improve the reputation of the school, which is made up of mostly white and middle or upper-class students.
The drama, which has been hailed as “captivating” by viewers, has been praised for its satirical and sharp take on class and racism, as well as the brilliant performances from its young cast.
