The King was officially welcomed to Balmoral with a traditional ceremony outside the gates of his Highland home on Monday.
In the coming weeks, he and the Queen are expected to host several of their family members at their Scottish retreat.
The royals love the solace of the vast estate, where they can enjoy hikes, picnics, fishing and barbecues.
