Lux Pascal can check off one dream from her bucket list. The actress is starring in Tom Ford’s awaited new movie “Cry to Heaven,” an adaptation of Anne Rice‘s novel, and one of the most exciting projects scheduled to come out in the near future.
In an interview, Pascal revealed that working with Ford has long been one of her dreams. “It’s funny, because I think dreams or things that you’re working towards, they take a while,” she said in an interview with PEOPLE.
She then referenced Ford’s films, “A Single Man” and “Nocturnal Animals.”
“I’m not sure if it’s manifestation, but I remember watching the trailer for A Single Man when I was a kid and I was like, ‘This is the most beautiful filmmaking I’ve ever seen in my life.’ I just wanted to be part of this picture, you know?” she said.
“I’ve been a fan of his. I saw ‘Nocturnal Animals’ and then, of course, he’s a staple in the fashion industry,” she said. Pascal also noted Ford’s incredible work throughout his career, saying that he “literally changed the fashion game.”
“Like, there’s a before and an after Tom Ford in the fashion industry. I think it’s so chic that he let it go a bit to become a filmmaker,” she said.
A couple of months ago, when her casting was announced, Pascal shared a sweet message on her social media. “Little me watching the trailer for Tom Ford’s first film ‘A single man’ and then buying my own ticket to go see it is in total disbelief… Now a part of this captivating Vision,” she wrote.
Her brother, Pedro Pascal, shared his excitement in the comments section, posting numerous hearts.
