MacKenzie Scott, previously known as MacKenzie Bezos, has been unable to escape her ex’s name over the past few weeks. Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez Bezos just got married in Venice, Italy, in a ceremony attended by some of the leading A-listers in the world. It was a moment that prompted a lot of backlash, local protests, and has dragged Scott back into the conversation.
As news broke out regarding Bezos’ wedding and the cost, many have turned to Scott to praise her for her philanthropy. While Scott didn’t attend the wedding or comment on it publicly, people have been dropping all sorts of comments on her Instagram.
Scott only has one post up, showing a photo of herself that she shared in 2020. Over the past couple of days, all manner of viewers have been dropping comments and likes, praising her work and alluding to Bezos’ wedding.

Scott’s philanthropy was highlighted over the past couple of days by various artists, with the first one being Mia Farrow. In an Instagram comment, Farrow shared a photo of Scott and wrote, “How awesome is MacKenzie Scott!”
“As of mid-December 2024, she had given a total of $19.3 billion to over 1600 charitable organizations.”
The post was supported by other celebrities, including Olivia Munn, who wrote, “Truly incredible.”
Scott and Bezos were married for 26 years and share three kids. She was married to Bezos throughout the foundation of Amazon, resulting in her having a net worth of $31 billion according to Forbes.
