Mad Men star January Jones stunned fans on Tuesday when she shared a series of sizzling swimsuit photos that showcased her enviable figure.
The 48-year-old snapped the photos in the bathroom of her home in Los Angeles, and looked better than ever in the various ensembles.
The first photo saw January in a white and green bikini top underneath a sheer white lacy shirt, with her blonde locks falling down to her shoulders.
The next snap featured the actress with a bright smile on her face while dressed in a black bikini with a white trim, as she showcased her incredible physique.
In the third picture, January sported a black-and-white striped one-piece swimsuit as she untied her wet hair after going for a swim. “Almost time for the sweaters but not quite yet,” she wrote in the caption, as her fans rushed to the comment section to share the love.
“Gorgeousness,” one fan wrote, while another added: “Beautiful as always.” A third declared that she was “smokin’ hot,” while another chimed in: “Still the most beautiful thing ever.”
January’s stance on working out
January explained to Shape how her relationship with exercise had changed over the years, after growing up with a fitness trainer for a father.
“My dad was a trainer, so in my 20s and 30s, I didn’t work out, because he was always pushing my sisters, my mom, and me to exercise. We would rebel and not do it,” she told the publication.
“It’s not that I wasn’t active. As kids, my two sisters were runners, I played tennis, and we all swam. But on a regular basis I wouldn’t work out, ever.”
Even when she joined the cast of X-Men: First Class as Emma Frost, January would lie about working out with the trainers the studio provided her, and instead would watch TV in her hotel room and have “full tea service”.
Becoming a mother
Her stance on exercise changed after she welcomed her son in 2011. “After I had my son, Xander, I wanted to feel strong because my body had changed so much,” she said. “As he got bigger and I was hauling around a 20- or 30-pound toddler, my lower back gave out, and I saw my shoulders starting to curl and hunch.”
She began to take barre classes to help with her posture, then moved on to Pilates. “I’ve gained weight because I’ve put on muscle. I’ve gone up a size in clothes, but I feel like I look better naked,” she shared. The Golden Globe nominee added that she does not follow a diet and never deprives herself of eating what she wants.
Perimenopause struggles
January has been open about her health issues in the past, including battling perimenopause symptoms. She shared in a candid video on Instagram in 2025 that mood swings and a feeling of overwhelm had taken over her life.
“I haven’t been officially diagnosed, but I think I have the perimenopause,” she told her fans, adding that her usually “light and fun” personality had switched to one with “a lot of rage”. Perimenopause is the transition phase before menopause, when hormones are changing and menstruation becomes irregular.
